
Basing on Article 18 of National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches Constitution the secretariat under the leadership of the General Secretary Bishop Mark Wamala called for the Extra Ordinary meeting.The meeting was called in order to find solutions to the some of the challenges that had affected the Fellowship during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
The meeting was hosted by Bishop Gerald Mwebe of Streams of Life Church Mengo on the 16th November 2021. The meeting started with the opening prayer by Elder Peter Sozi which was followed by the welcoming remarks from the General Secretary Bishop Mark Wamala.
The General Secretary appreciated the leaders who had attended the meeting despite the existence of Covid 19. He urged leaders to work in unity, love and also reminded them about the core values of the Fellowship which were; Godly leadership, excellent ministry, servant leadership, character, integrity and accountability, which he emphasized must be manifested among leaders at all times.
The General Overseer also welcomed the members that had attended the meeting. The GO appreciated them for having used their finances in order to attend the meeting. Bishop Joshua Lwere reminded the leaders their responsibility in regards to the fulfillment of the great commission. He urged members to work in unity if the Christian family was to make any impact and become essential in their communities, country and the world at large. He requested members to excel in serving, saying that God doesn’t call leaders but servants who become leaders.
During the meeting a number of issues were discussed which included some of the challenges that had affected the Fellowship, its leaders and leadership during Covid 19 pandemic. Different solutions were provided to the challenges which were pointed out.
